Rules for IELM110 lab section

Rule 1: Penalty for late comer in Lab section

1. 15-29 mins late: -2%
2. 30-44 mins late: -5%
3. 45-74 mins late: -10%
4. >74 mins late: -20% + cannot attend the lab on that day in fear that he or she will disrupt the learning of his or her lab partners. Upon submission of written reason for missing the lab, the instructor will decide whether the student can attend a make-up lab as scheduled by the TAs.

Rule 2: Bonus for early Lab report

(All reports need to be submitted at the end of each lab session)
If you can finish the report before the end of a lab session: +5%
[This incentive is to encourage you to organize your time and read the lab instruction before you come!]

Read lecture note and lab instruction before the lab session.

Rule 3: Clean Desk Before Leave Lab

Each team should unplug ALL air tubes and electrical wires, and clean the experiment desk.

Otherwise, -10% will be dedected from the lab report.
