The purpose of this course is to present the fundamental behaviour and design of prestressed concrete. Topics include the principles and methods of prestressing, loss of prestress, analysis and design of sections for serviceability limit state, stress transfer, deflections, analysis and design of bending and shear for ultimate limit state, design of anchorage zones, and introduction to the design of composite construction.
